RUSSELL ASSOCIATION'S LAND.
The grandest part of North Brisbane with a most extensive frontage to the Brisbane River, which is divided into about 50 Magnificent River Frontages, with fine roads running through all parts of the New Farm Estate to the River, thereby affording all purchasers in the New Farm Estate access to the Brisbane River.
JAMES R. DICKSON & COMPANY have been favoured, with instructions from the Russell Land Association, to sell by Public Auction, on the Ground, on Saturday Afternoon, October 22nd, at 2 p.m. sharp, their magnificent New Farm property, well known as the OLD RACECOURSE, being subdivisions of sections 7, 8, 9, and resubdivisions of subdivisions of sections 1 to 6, of portions 21, 22, 29 and 30, Parish of North Brisbane, now subdivided into 304 magnificent building sites, 51 of which are magnificent river frontages, one of the charming features of the Estate. The remaining sites all front splendidly laid out roads, of which there is not one single road in this charming Estate less than a full chain in width.
The whole Estate is beautifully laid out in sections, so that purchasers securing two allotments in depth will have frontages to two roads, each one chain wide.
The NEW FARM ESTATE being placed on the market, is undoubtedly one of the events of the year 1887 which will give great satisfaction to the many hundreds who have been in the past clamouring for the chances of securing homes in this Grand Estate, and the pick, not only of the suburbs, but of the TOWN OF NORTH BRISBANE.
Those who are now anxiously awaiting the day of sale, Saturday October 22, should bear in mind:
- That the Tram Terminus is only a few minutes walk from the Estate.
- That the Omnibus Stand in James Street is likewise only a few minutes walk from the Estate.
- That this is the only available block of land for Settlement between densely-settled New Farm and the Brisbane River, opposite Norman Park and Hawthorne.
- That the aspect is all that can be desired between the North and South (easterly).
- That the breeze off that beautiful arm of the Brisbane River, extending down the Bulimba Reach as far as Breakfast Creek, is equal in every respect to that of Moreton Bay.
- That the views from the Estate are not equalled in any other part of Brisbane, which is saying something.
- That the roads are all first-class without even forming, as the ground is so beautifully even.
- That the soil is most fertile, as may be witnessed by the Charming Little Gardens on the Opposite side of the road.
- That the Villa Residences adjoining this Estate are the neatest about the city, all considerably beautified by their choice gardens and grounds.
- That this is the most valuable Estate in or about Brisbane goes without saying.
- That the Terms are exceedingly liberal, being only One-fifth Cash, balance 6, 12, 18, and 24 months, bearing interest at the low rate of 7 per cent, per annum; or, should the amount exceed £250, the terms may be extended to 30 and 36 months at the same low rate of interest.
- That the Purchasers will be granted the option of reclaiming the land on the river bank, between the present water line and the original line, as dotted on the Lithographs.
- That these are all facts, and THE ESTATE still remains to be sold on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22.
Now that the bare facts have so far been merely outlined, as far as space and time permit the Auctioneers sincerely request all those who know how to appreciate a really good article to inspect the Russell Association's New Farm property, Old Racecourse, before the day of sale, to make their selections, so that no time may be wasted once the sale commences, which will be sharp at the hour of two o'clock p.m.
