Today, 107 years ago, on Saturday, 8th September 1917, the Greenwood Estate in Ashgrove was finally available for sale on the ground.
Initially it was scheduled for sale earlier in July 1917 but was delayed due to
"Extraordinary demands made by the local authority".

The Greenwood Estate was advertised in the local papers on the days leading up to the sale.
The Greenwood Estate covers Quandong Street, Greenwood Street and Ashgrove Avenue (map shows as 3 Mile Scrub Road).
