The State Library Queensland describes this image as:

View of Kangaroo Point, including the Thornton Street ferry stop, from the opposite side of the river. Ships are at anchor. St. Mary's church can be seen atop the hill on the right. Joseph Thompson's house, Silverwells, is the large white residence visible through the rigging of the ship on the left. The ship nearest the camera is a Royal Navy corvette, either the Rapid or Royalist.  Further downstream is a Royal Navy gunboat.

Joseph Thompson's House, Silverwells

Joseph Thompson's house, Silverwells is the large white residence visible through the rigging of the ship on the left.  

 

 

 

Joseph Thompson used to own Thompson's Paddocks which was later subdivided and became the Thompson Estate in present day Woolloongabba and Greenslopes.
